THE STEERING WHEEL RETAINING RING MAY HAVE BEEN OMITTED DURING VEHICLE ASSEMBLY. THIS COULD ALLOW THE ATTACHMENT NUT TO UNSCREW, RESULTING IN A SEPARATION OF THE STEERING WHEEL FROM THE STEERING COLUMN SHAFT.
